Ultimate Leader Worksheet

Step 1: Rethink Leadership

Leadership is not just a title. It’s a behavior, habit, and daily choice. Titles can help us navigate conversations, but they do not automatically create trust or respect. Leadership is a journey, not a destination—like fitness, it requires ongoing practice, not a one-time achievement.

Step 2: Identify Your “Ultimate Leader”

Using the provided worksheet, think of someone you admire as a leader (past or present). This could be a mentor, colleague, role model, or anyone whose actions earned your respect.

Ask yourself:

  • What do they do?

  • How do they do it?

  • What habits or behaviors make them effective in your eyes?

List 3–5 traits of this leader.

**We will not share who your leader is, but we will share the traits as a group.

Step 3: Reflect on Poor Leadership

Consider the opposite:

  • What do ineffective leaders do?

  • Which traps do you want to avoid?

  • How easy is it to slip into these habits under pressure?

Use the worksheet to note down a few poor leadership traits.
